The Chairman of the Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority oversees the closing ceremony of the Port Facility Security Training

On Tuesday 13 August 2024, the Chairman of the Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority (DPFZA) led the closing ceremony for a training on the International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) Code.

This training was organized by the Harbour Master’s office to help Port Facility Security Officers (PFSOs) enhance their skills.

It included participants from various port facilities and security-related public authorities such as: the Harbour Master’s office, the Port of DMP, the Port of SGTD, the Ports Firefighters, the Port of Tadjourah, the Ports Immigration Police, the National Security, the Djibouti Navy, the Horizon Terminal.

Seventeen managers attended the four-day training held from August 8 to 13, 2024, at the Djibouti Ayla Hotel.

Mr. Bruno Leonard, a former French Navy Captain and Director at G3S Pélagos, conducted the training. He ensured that the program met international security standards.

At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi handed out certificates to the participants.
This initiative demonstrates Djibouti’s commitment to maintaining world-class security at its ports, ensuring the safety of maritime operations.
