The European Union Ambassador to Liberia, H.E. Nona Deprez, paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director of the National Port Authority (NPA), Hon. Sekou A. M. Dukuly, at the NPA Headquarters.
During the meeting, discussions focused on port operations, particularly the Freeport of Monrovia, and explored potential areas where the European Union could support efforts to enhance port efficiency and viability for investment and business. Ambassador Deprez reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to fostering economic development in Liberia, emphasizing the importance of modern, well-functioning ports in driving trade and economic growth.
Hon. Dukuly welcomed the engagement and expressed appreciation for the EU’s continued interest in strengthening Liberia’s port infrastructure. Both parties agreed to further dialogue on strategic initiatives to improve port operations and attract investment.
