SEDUCTION MISSION OF THE PORT OF LOMÉ IN NIGER

The Port of Lomé, in its continuous quest for quality service, keeps taking initiatives.

It is within this framework that a delegation from the Port Community of Lomé (Alliance for the Promotion of the Port of Lomé – A2PL) is on a prospecting and promotional mission in Niger from October 6 to 11, 2024.

The delegation, led by Rear Admiral Fogan Kodjo ADEGNON, President of the Community, is meeting with Niger authorities in charge of transport and trade issues, customs, the Niger Chamber of Commerce and Industry, economic operators, transport unions, importers, and exporters.

The delegation, composed of about forty members from the Port Authority and other actors in Togo’s maritime transport chain, is presenting the facilitation measures granted by the Port of Lomé to Nigerian economic operators for the transit of goods to or from Niger.

During the exchanges, it is also a question of gathering the expectations and concerns of economic operators, in order to provide them with suitable solutions, particularly in terms of speed of goods transit operations, costs, and safe corridor crossing.

This marketing operation is also planned to take place in the coming days in Burkina Faso and Mali.
