On Friday 19 July 2024, Mr Joseph DION NGUTÉ, Prime Minister of Cameroon and Head of Government, inaugurated the CIMPOR cement plant in the presence of a number of VIPs.
With a production capacity of one million tonnes of cement per year, the CIMPOR cement plant is the first in Kribi and the sixth in Cameroon. It is located in a dynamic area that is already home to some twenty industrial and logistics companies. The plant’s optimum operation is ensured by the supply of clinker from the multi-purpose terminal.
The President of the Republic of Cameroon, His Excellency Paul Biya, has declared: ‘The development of the Kribi industrial port zone will enable us to take our country to the point of emergence’. This statement illustrates the importance of this project for Cameroon’s future.
The ceremony, marked by the cutting of the ribbon and a tour of the facilities, took place in a convivial and joyful atmosphere. This major event marks another step towards a prosperous future for the Kribi industrial port zone.
