On Thursday 18 July 2024, the Director General of the Port Autonome de Dakar, Mr Waly Diouf BODIANG, received in audience the Director General of the Port of Antwerp-Bruges International, Mr Kristof WATERSCHOOT, as well as his delegation for an information and sharing meeting on the National Port Strategy of Senegal.
After welcoming the Belgian delegation, Mr Wally Diouf BODIANG expressed his satisfaction at the visit of his colleagues from the Port of Antwerp. Mr Kristof WATERSCHOOT said he was delighted with this meeting, which will strengthen the partnership between the two ports. According to him, the aim is to gain a better understanding of the orientations of the Port Autonome de Dakar in the implementation of the National Port Strategy, to nurture this collaboration, and to identify priorities. Mr WATERSCHOOT said he was ready and willing to support the Port Autonome de Dakar.
On the sidelines of the information and sharing meeting on Senegal’s National Port Strategy, the Belgian and Senegalese delegations visited the Port of Ndayane project simulator. The visit provided an opportunity to look ahead to the future, particularly projects to build and rehabilitate regional ports.
