The Board of Directors of the Port Autonome d’Abidjan (PAA), during its extraordinary session held on Monday, May 4, 2026, appointed Kassoum Traoré as Acting Director General of the PAA.
Previously serving as Director of Logistics within the institution, the Acting Director General is an experienced executive of the Port Autonome d’Abidjan. According to the official statement announcing his appointment, his career reflects a thorough understanding of the operational, strategic, and organizational challenges of the port platform.
The Acting Director General will be tasked with ensuring the efficient management of port operations, maintaining the momentum of ongoing transformation initiatives, and strengthening the position of the Port of Abidjan as a leading logistics hub in West Africa.
The appointment of Kassoum Traoré highlights the promotion of internal talent. It also reflects a commitment to managerial continuity and the consolidation of achievements, in a context marked by increasing demands for performance, competitiveness, and modernization.
It should be recalled that Kassoum Traoré succeeds Yacouba Hien Sié, who was appointed Minister of Infrastructure and Road Maintenance on January 23, 2026.
